NEC Releases Official 2022 Voter List

PHNOM PENH: The National Election Committee (NEC) has released the official 2022 voter list, with a total of more than 9.7 million registered voters.

The number of registered voters for the 2023 election accounts for 89.28% of the estimated population above the age of 18, and includes 5,161,909 women. Additionally, there will be a total of 23,789 polling stations for the election.

According to the NEC, there are 961,742 registered voters in Phnom Penh, 431,775 in Banteay Meanchey, 661,970 in Battambang, 652,540 in Kampong Cham, 359,698 in Kampong Chhnang, 599,345 in Kampong Speu, 456,705 in Kampong Thom, 421,119 in Kampot, 818,459 in Kandal, 78,301 in Koh Kong, 231,837 in Kratie, and 51,627 in Mondulkiri.

In addition, there are 151,191 registered voters in Preah Vihear, 750,836 in Prey Veng, 300,328 in Pursat, 117,657 in Ratanakiri, 618,835 in Siem Reap, 149,807 in Sihanoukville, 97,688 in Stung Treng, 415,919 in Svay Rieng, 668,548 in Takeo, 28,198 in Kep, 45,740 in Pailin, 151,168 in Oddar Meanchey, and 489,958 in Tbong Khmum.

The 7th National Assembly Election of 2023 will take place on 23 July.
